🙋🙋Guests/ Guest Speakers
We welcomed Randy, Amy, and Angelina from Camp Koinonia. Camp Koinonia Conference Center is a ministry dedicated to changing lives, and their presentation highlighted all the amazing experiences the camp offers—swimming, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, paintball, hiking wooded trails, and so much more. It was a great reminder of the impact this special place has on everyone who visits.
🙏🙏Opening🙏🙏
🙏🙏Prayer -Dave Osborn led us in prayer with a bold doxology rendition. It was fierce. It was spunky. It got the job done. A powerful kickoff to the meeting.
Pledge of Allegiance –Dave McCall confidently and boldly led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, reminding us why service to our country and community matters.
Song –This week’s musical selection needed only one attempt (a Rotary miracle). Led by Stu, we sang “You Are My Sunshine.” With the sun shining and spring vibes in the air, it felt like the perfect choice—and honestly, we nailed it.
💸💸 Happy Bucks / Sad Bucks
• Dan gave a happy buck for Christy’s new flyer for the big event (blush).
• Bob followed up with a happy buck for Christy fixing up the flyer (aww—you guys ).
• Lisa shared a happy buck for skiing. Apparently someone told her and Patrick they’re “too old” to ski—clearly incorrect. These young bucks are just getting started. No hip replacements in sight.
• Anita gave a happy buck celebrating the credit union’s new logo and color change from blue to purple. She came bearing gifts—bags and pens—which were very hard to resist

• David McCall shared a big happy buck after finding his wallet—missing for six weeks! His wife had safely placed it where no one would take it... including them. Well played.
• Stu rounded things out with two happy bucks: one for the beautiful weather and another because he’s already sold 10 tickets. Well done!

Announcements📣📣 :(hot off the Painesville Rotary Press)
• Bob reminded us about our 100-Year Celebration coming up on April 25th. Sponsors and door prizes are still needed! This year’s diamond sponsors will be honored with diamonds placed on a wall—sparkle included.
• Stu announced that St. James Meal is next Tuesday, February 17th. Come help serve up some big, gooey, messy burgers (also known as sloppy joes).
• Dan delivered the rally cry of the day: SELL. SELL. SELL. Tickets are moving, baskets need themes (send them to Sue), and door prizes are up for grabs - Ask away—worst they can say is “no,” and then dramatically declare, “No door prize for you.”
• Lisa shared exciting updates from the Lake County History Center. Four events are coming up, and America 250 is off to a fantastic start.
o February 22nd: Come set up a table or booth
o March 21st: Lisa is celebrating a BIG birthday that ends in a “0”—everyone’s invited. The basement is newly remodeled, furniture TBD, but who needs couches when you’re dancing the night away?
